Zach grew up in New Orleans, LA and also graduated from the Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, TN where he served as the Student Director of the Sewanee Emergency Medical Service (SEMS). Following graduation, he worked in for a law enforcement consulting firm in Washington, DC and moved to Nashville in 2001 to work as a sales mentor for Dell Computer Corp.
In February 2003, he began his real estate career at Village Real Estate. After 9 years at Village and hungry for a new challenge, Zach and a small group of others joined forces with Bob Parks. They worked with Bob to open an in-town real estate brokerage office in the Gulch and went on to re-brand the company from Bob Parks Realty, LLC to simply Parks. Zach and his team helped build the Gulch office to 60 producing agents.
In late 2018, an opportunity arose for Zach and a few partners to purchase Village Real Estate from longtime owner, friend, and founder, Mark Deutschmann. Mark sold the company to the new ownership group in January 2019. Mark currently serves are Chairman Emeritus and Zach serves as the Principal Broker for Village Real Estate.
Zach specializes in homes and condos in the urban center of Davidson County as well as multi-unit condo sales management where he has been involved in high-rise and condo projects such as Broadwest, Twelve|Twelve, Icon in the Gulch, Rhythm at Music Row, and a variety of other smaller multi-unit developments.
Zach has served on the Board of Directors for the local REALTOR Association, Greater Nashville REALTORS, is a longtime past president of the Sewanee Club of Nashville alumni association, and he was part of the Nashville Business Journal's 40 Under 40 class of 2017.
Zach lives with wife and his three children in a 1920s bungalow in the Historic Richland-West End neighborhood. He has previously lived in Sylvan Park, Bellevue, and Belle Meade Courts. He enjoys time with family, especially outdoors, as well as photography, technology, and playing music.
